The Indigo Boys perform The Indigo Girls
Carter joined his friend Nick today at Grace Presbyterian Church (where Nick plays weekly) and performed several songs, including "Secure Yourself" by the Indigo Girls and a song about love by Cajun Bluesman Tab Benoit. It was definitely not the traditional hymnal stuff.
This clip is of "Secure Yourself" and it opened the service.

I have a good excuse, I've been in prison. Well, I spent a few hours behind bars in April and the story finally ran last weekend.

Food, glorious food
I just finished my new food wall in my kitchen. It's a collection of photographs of food I've eaten (and watched while others ate) from around the world including exciting locations such as, Brazil, Mexico, Chicago and Wellington, Kansas.

Gracie Rose screening
Gracie Rose will be shown on the big screen at the Historic Orpheum theatre this Saturday, June 21 at 7 p.m. I'm psyched because Carter scored the entire film with fantastic original music written for the movie. I even helped out in a very tiny way by playing some sloppy drums in a honky tonk bar scene (I'm not shown on the film, only heard). We viewed an early copy of the movie without the music and I can't wait to see it with Carter's fine work.In the leading role is my friend (and former Gridiron alum) Rebekah Dryden. The movie was written/produced/directed by Rebekah's husband, Jason Bailey (the two now live in NYC). It also stars Anna Kraus who is a great friend to all of the Mudbugs.
